Our History

In 2010, the internet lacked content and conversation relevant to general surgeons. OnSurg thus emerged to offer blog and forum features, job-search tools, and educational content. OnSurg also promoted the few existing surgeon bloggers and early-adopter social media users. Experimenting with many social media platforms as educational tools, OnSurg also produced the Op Report – a video blog of interviews with surgeon innovators, educators, humanitarian volunteers, students, and researchers. Happy to see blogs, social media, and other digital communities now flourishing with surgeon users, OnSurg has retired.
